Michigan’s pattern of struggling against the better teams on the schedule continued on Saturday afternoon, this time falling 89-73 in a lopsided loss to Michigan State. Unlike some other defeats this season, this one happened right out of the gate with the Spartans going up by double digits in just the first seven minutes of play.
The Wolverines made their first three point attempt less than 30 seconds into the game, then proceeded to miss their next eight attempts from long range. But just as Michigan was struggling from outside, the Spartans thrived.
