Position switch nets Michigan DL Carlo Kemp more playing time

ANN ARBOR -- A recent position switch has turned into near-immediate playing time for Carlo Kemp.

The junior defensive lineman got the start Saturday at tackle in Michigan's 49-3 rout of Western Michigan, with Aubrey Solomon (knee) and Lawrence Marshall (shoulder) out due to injury.

Kemp -- who started alongside nose tackle Bryan Mone -- said it was the first time he played a majority of snaps in a collegiate game.

"So it just felt really good to be out there and run around and just to get to really, finally play football," said Kemp, who had two tackles.
