It was arguably one of the most memorable shots — and biggest splashes — in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
And now Jordan Poole’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer that lifted Michigan past Houston and into the Sweet 16 is in the running to win an ESPY award for “Best Play.”
Poole’s deep heave from 30 feet that propelled the Wolverines to a stunning 64-63 victory during their postseason run to the national title game is one of 16 plays featured in a poll on ESPN’s website.
The miraculous shot is seeded No. 16 in the bracket-style format and is facing stiff competition in the first round.
