Poll: UM's Beilein best offensive coach

As part of its Candid Coaches series, CBS Sports college writers asked nearly 100 Division I basketball coaches who is the best offensive coach in college basketball.

Michigan's John Beilein came out on top.

Beilein garnered 16.9 percent of vote; followed by Davidson's Bob McKillop, 13.4; Wisconsin's Bo Ryan, 12.4; Gonzaga's Mark Few, 11.3; Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, 7.9; BYU's Dave Rose, 6.8; Notre Dame's Mike Brey and Vanderbilt's Kevin Stallings, 5.6.

No one commanded more than a fifth of the vote, which turned the poll into something of a Republican Presidential primary, the writers noted.

Beilein edged out his peers with his two-guard offense that relies heavy on 3-pointers and intelligent players who can make incisive passes.
