Oregon matches Michigan in offensive skill and balance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- All five starters on Michigan’s basketball team can shoot. But that isn’t what makes the Wolverines so good offensively. Lots of teams have multiple shooters.

What makes U-M such a difficult matchup is that those starters also can put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. Three of those starters -- Derrick Walton Jr., Zak Irvin and Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkhman -- also can shoot off the dribble. In other words, they can create their own shot.

(Moe Wagner can get his own shot, too, those shots just come off of post moves or sweeping runs to the hoop; he doesn’t pull up off the bounce just yet.
