ANN ARBOR -- Duncan Robinson caught a pass on the wing and quickly assessed that the Rutgers defender was closing out too aggressively. Robinson pump-faked, the defender skidded past him, and one of the most prolific 3-point shooters in Michigan history had a clean look. He rose up, cocked the ball above his head, and...tried to pass to a teammate who had already turned for a possible rebound.
"He needs to hunt shots," John Beilein said after the game, a 62-47 Michigan win Sunday in which Robinson's four 3-pointers were critical. Beilein wants Robinson to catch the ball and assume he's open, not wait for permission to fire.
