On Thursday, a 10% raise for Jim Harbaugh, bonuses for top Michigan assistants

ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh is due a pay raise this week, while two of his top assistants are in line for six-figure retention bonuses.

Thursday marks the day Harbaugh, who enters his fourth year as head football coach at Michigan, is due a 10 percent boost to his yearly compensation.

According to the terms of his contract, Harbaugh will earn a 10 percent raise on his $500,000-a-year salary, and, more lucratively, a 10 percent raise to his on his $4.5 million in additional compensation (media obligations, public appearances, etc.)

That means Harbaugh -- who signed a seven-year contract in December 2014 that paid him $5 million a year over the first two years -- is set to make $5.
