Ole Miss doubles down to object Michigan QB Shea Patterson's NCAA waiver

Ole Miss isn't wavering in its stance on quarterback Shea Patterson.

Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork issued a statement Tuesday defending the university's objection to a waiver claim Patterson filed with the NCAA in hopes of becoming immediately eligible at Michigan this season.

"We would not oppose a waiver of the year in residence requirement based on a legitimate reason for any student-athlete who wants to transfer from Ole Miss. With the waiver in questions, the way it was written, we had no choice but to respond the way we did. With anyone who leaves our program, we wish them the best academically and athletically.
