Michigan football introduced its newest defensive back to the media Wednesday as the team hit the halfway point of fall camp.
Josh Wallace, a fifth-year senior as a transfer from the University of Massachusetts, was a June addition to the roster as the Wolverines continued their search for a corner to start opposite budding star Will Johnson. The 6-foot, 190-pound Maryland native has yet to definitively earn that spot, but Wednesday brought the chance to walk reporters through his first few months in Ann Arbor.
He explained his strengths as a press-man corner — laughing off the notion that he's not ready to play at the Big Ten level — and explained that the five seasons spent as Michigan's defensive coordinator by Don Brown, now the head coach at UMass, didn't weigh into his decision to come to Ann Arbor.
