ANN ARBOR - Outfielder Miles Lewis was coming off a stellar redshirt freshman season when he learned North Dakota's baseball program was being cut in April 2016.
He needed to find a new home, and has found one at Michigan.
Lewis has had little trouble adjusting to his new surroundings. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound left fielder has provided a jolt for the Wolverines' top-ranked offense in the Big Ten. He is batting .294 with one home run, 21 RBIs and a team-leading nine doubles hitting in the No. 5 spot for 13th-ranked Michigan (26-7).

Michigan fifth-year head coach Erik Bakich said Lewis' immediate impact has been no surprise.
