Just days before the season opener, Irish Sports Daily reports starting senior cornerback Shaun Crawford — a former Michigan commitment in 2014 — will miss significant time with an ACL tear after a Tuesday afternoon practice.
Crawford previously tore his right ACL in 2016. The current injury occurred on the opposite knee.
The 5-foot-9, 181-pounder figured to start alongside preseason All-America second-teamer Julian Love. Last year, Crawford recorded 32 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two interceptions.
Hailing from Lakewood, Ohio’s St. Edward High, he decommitted from Michigan on May 23, 2014.
