They don’t want to be known as comeback kids, but the Michigan hockey team came back from a three-goal deficit to win their Big Ten opener against Wisconsin.
Junior forward Tyler Motte (goal, assist) scored to break a 4-4 tie at 3:22 of the third period and Kyle Connor (goal, assist) added an empty-netter at 19:59 to give the Wolverines a 6-4 win Friday night at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor.
“There’s going to be ups and downs,” said Michigan junior captain JT Compher. “The nice part about our team is there’s still that confidence we can come back.
