INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Motor Speedway president Doug Boles nearly was moved to tears when he heard the news. Beth Boles, Doug’s wife, still smiles about her son driving the No. 4 ABC Supply Co. Chevrolet for A.J. Foyt Enterprises.
For several reasons, the No. 4 was a befitting marker for Conor Daly’s new full-time ride in the Verizon IndyCar Series this season, and it’s meaning resonates most this week.
Daly will start 26th today when he makes his fourth appearance in the Indianapolis 500, an iconic race that helped make an icon out of his team owner.
