Former Wolverine Nik Stauskas didn’t have nearly the rookie year in the NBA that he anticipated or hoped for, but he’s already laid out an interesting road in front of him. A native of Mississauga, Ont., he will play on the Canadian national team in the FIBA Americas tournament in Mexico City from Aug. 31-Sept. 12 with a chance to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Named the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2014, Stauskas helped take Michigan to the Elite Eight with a team best 17.
