New-look Michigan basketball team learning from new coaches

For the past six years, Jeff Meyer, Bacari Alexander and LaVall Jordan reigned supreme in Ann Arbor. The assistants were key elements of Michigan coach John Beilein’s success,with the Wolverines coming within minutes of a national championship in 2013 and seconds from another Final Four in 2014.

Only Meyer remains. Alexander and Jordan left this spring after six seasons under Beilein to accept head-coaching roles at Detroit and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, respectively.

Their replacements are former Oakland assistant Saddi Washington and former Wright State coach Billy Donlon, and Michigan’s players say the acclimation process has been a nonissue.
