The memory is still strong, 2 1/2 years later.
Jordan Poole was sitting in his living room with his father, close to the television, watching the Michigan basketball team face Kansas in the 2013 NCAA tournament.
With the Wolverines trailing late in the second half, trying to complete an improbable comeback, Poole's father said, "I think something big is going to happen."
As any Michigan fan knows, it soon did. Trey Burke hit a 30-foot overtime-forcing three-pointer with 4.2 seconds left in a Sweet 16 game U-M went on to win. It made a lasting impression on countless kids across the country as U-M eventually made it to the national title game.
