When it comes to March Madness, "survive and advance" is all that matters.
The Michigan basketball team did not play its best in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, but the Wolverines are moving on to the Sweet 16 because they made the plays when needed.
Of course, "the play" in all of the NCAA tourney so far has to be Jordan Poole's off-balance, 28-footer from the right wing that dropped at the buzzer in No. 3-seeded Michigan's 64-63 win over No. 6 seed Houston Saturday night in Wichita.
Next, the Wolverines (30-7) head to Los Angeles for the West Region semifinal.
