Muskegon junior quarterback Cameron Martinez had been waiting all season to get an offer from either Michigan or Michigan State.
The Wolverines finally came through on Monday.
Martinez announced on his Twitter account that he had heard from the Wolverines and they had come through with an offer.
Muskegon (12-0) will play Zeeland East (11-1) at Grand Haven in a Division 3 state semifinal on Saturday. In the regional final win over Cedar Springs, Martinez had over 250 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
In the history of Muskegon football, there have been three 300-yard rushing games by a Big Reds player.
