ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Fifth-year senior linebacker Desmond Morgan of the 17th-ranked University of Michigan football team will be honored with the Scholar Athlete Award for the Michigan Chapter of the National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Football Hall of Fame on Sunday (Dec. 13).
A four-year letterwinner, Morgan has appeared in 49 career games, with 44 starts. He has accumulated a team-leading 296 tackles, making 146 solo stops. Morgan has tallied 16 tackles-for-loss totaling 39 yards, adding nine pass breakups and 3.5 sacks, with a forced and recovered a pair of fumbles in his U-M career as well.
