The start of Moritz Wagner's NBA career has been, in one way at least, an abrupt shift from his college days.
The former Michigan star grew accustomed to winning in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines reached the NCAA Tournament in each of Wagner's three seasons, including an appearance in April's national championship. But Wagner's Lakers went 0-3 in the California Classic, the NBA's Summer League in Sacramento.
The exhibition games are more about evaluating and developing young talent than anything, and Wagner impressed. He started all three games, averaging 14.7 points and eight rebounds while shooting 5-of-16 (31 percent) from 3.
