While it may not come as a big surprise given the strong season Moritz Wagner had, the Wolverines’ star forward revealed disappointing news to Michigan fans on Saturday morning, announcing that he would sign with an agent and declare for the NBA draft, forgoing a final season with the Maize and Blue.
Making his decision known in an article titled “Thank you, Michigan” on the Player’s Tribune, Wagner revealed that he is moving forward with his playing career.
“This wasn’t an easy decision for me,” Wagner wrote. “I know people always say that, and maybe it sounds like they don’t 100% mean it.
