East Lansing – Michigan and Michigan State play just once this season and the Wolverines made the most of it.
Behind a career-high 27 points from Moritz Wagner, the Wolverines knocked off No. 4 Michigan State, 82-72, Saturday at the Breslin Center, their second straight victory in the series and first on the road since 2014.
Michigan State has now lost two of three and sits a full two games out of first place in the Big Ten.
The Spartans could do little to contain Wagner for the entire game, and his fade-away jumper with 3:50 to play was critical down the stretch.
