Michigan went into Minnesota and for the second straight game got to rest its starters in the 4th quarter. That is correct, JJ, Blake, Donovan, Roman, etc. got to rest in the 4th quarter as the game was out of hand for the Golden Gophers. The oldest trophy in football wasn't ever in doubt as Minnesota threw a pick 6 to Will Johnson to start the game. This was such a blow out, Michigan's defense outscored Minnesota's offense. No game is perfect, so let's get the Cheers and Jeers.
- Mason "F'ing" Graham dominated with one hand
- DB's had 2 pick 6's
- JJ with 2 running TD's and throwing accurate passes
- Cam Goode is disruptive
- Corum with a nice 40-yard run and a TD
- 2 penalties
- A complete dismantling of the Golden Gophers
- 75 players traveled, 74 played
- Little Brown Jug stays home for another year
- PJ Fleck called this Michigan team the best he has ever seen in 11 years of coaching
- Defense struggled with the run for a bit
- Long TD pass prior to halftime was not great
- Had a few drives stall due to dropped passes
- Michigan had to call 2 time-outs due to not getting the play in fast enough
Jeers:
You watched that game and I think you would agree there is not much you can really can nitpick.
