Minneapolis — Same story, different arena.
Michigan rolled into Minnesota on a three-game winning streak with its sights set on boosting its woeful 1-6 mark in true road games and NCAA Tournament resume.
But as with most of its road games this season, the Wolverines held a second-half lead and couldn’t finish, letting a golden opportunity slip away in an 83-78 overtime loss Sunday at Williams Arena.
Derrick Walton Jr. and D.J. Wilson each scored 16, Moritz Wagner 15, Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman 14 and Zak Irvin 10 for Michigan (17-10, 7-7 Big Ten).
BOX SCORE: Minnesota 83, Michigan 78, OT
Jordan Murphy scored 16, Dupree McBrayer 15, Nate Mason 13, Eric Curry 12 and Reggie Lynch 11 for Minnesota (20-7, 8-6), which won its fifth straight and ended a nine-game skid against Michigan.
