Zak Irvin has landed a job playing professional basketball.
But it's not anywhere near the NBA.
Michigan's former 6-foot-6 forward, or "small American wing" as he's described, has signed a contract with Italian professional team VL Pesaro.
VL Pesaro plays in Italian Serie A, considered the highest-level pro league in Italy, and includes former college basketball players Eric Mika (BYU), Dallas Moore (North Florida) and Emmanuel Omogbo (Colorado State).
The team announced the signing on Saturday with a news release hailing Irvin, who played four seasons at Michigan, as an "excellent technical schoolman" with a "high IQ.
