When Michigan made the announcement to fully reinstate suspended receiver Grant Perry earlier this month, it was athletic director Warde Manuel -- not head coach Jim Harbaugh -- who made the statement.
Harbaugh expressed support for Manuel's decision later in the week and gave a rough outline of how Michigan's athletic director went about investigating and ultimately making a decision on Perry's future.
Perry was sentenced to one year of probation in Ingham County Circuit court on Aug. 4 after agreeing to a plea deal that saw him plead guilty to one felony account of resisting arrest (under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act) and a misdemeanor account of assault and battery.
