OMAHA, Neb. — At dinner on Saturday night, hours after Michigan baseball won its opening game of the College World Series, Tommy Henry’s mom had a question:
Who would the Wolverines’ standout left-hander prefer to face in their next game, Florida State or Arkansas?
Henry didn’t care. He was just eager to finally take the mound in Omaha.
It likely wouldn’t have mattered. In his first outing since beating UCLA in the super regional with the flu and pneumonia-like symptoms on June 9, Henry brought his big-game pitching to the biggest stage in college baseball.
