Ann Arbor — No one is ready to call Michigan “Tight End U,” but there has been a major emphasis on the position.
Five tight ends caught passes in last weekend’s rout of BYU, and these days, they are feeling more relevant in the offense.
“We’ve been a position that’s been overlooked,” tight end A.J. Williams said, referring to previous seasons. “Five tight ends catching a pass last game speaks for itself.”
Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh said the wealth has been shared among this group, and said it’s “not just the Jake Butt show.
