Tarik Black knew as soon as it happened.
Michigan football was practicing Aug. 25, 2018, and Black — a sophomore at the time — was running a route when he planted his right foot to make a cut.
Then he heard a pop, and instantly knew. A couple days later, it was revealed Black had suffered a fracture to his right foot.
