Michigan’s O’Korn co-champ at Manning Passing Academy

Michigan quarterback John O’Korn has not yet won the starting job for the fall, but he was co-champion of the Quarterback Challenge at the Manning Passing Academy on Saturday.

O’Korn and Nick Mullens from Southern Mississippi shared the quarterback challenge title after five rounds of competition at Nicholls State University, according to a report on HoumaToday.com.

Quarterbacks threw a variety routes to high school and Nicholls State receivers, and had to hit three moving golf carts at 15 and 25 yards and on the sidelines, according to the story.

O’Korn, in a story last week with the Houston Chronicle, said he has no regrets about transferring from Houston, where he played two seasons, to Michigan.
