The loss dropped Northwestern to 1-2. The Wildcats host Michigan next Saturday (4:30 p.m. ET/3:30 CT, FOX).
Northwestern, which was off this weekend, opened the season with a 31-27 win over Purdue but turnovers were a problem in home losses the following weeks to Duke (21-7) and Akron (39-34).
