The latest member of Michigan football's 2018 recruiting class is named Myles Sims. But those close to him know him as "Spider."
When Sims began growing, on his way to becoming 6-feet-3, his coaches noticed his length, which they compared to a daddy longlegs spider.
The nickname stuck.
“Spider” tweeted Friday morning his commitment to Michigan. The four-star cornerback prospect from Atlanta is the fourth commit in U-M 2018 class, joining four-star guard Emil Ekiyor, four-star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (Dearborn Divine Child) and four-star outside linebacker Otis Reese, also from Georgia.
Sims is the second-best of those four according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, which consider him the No.
