Michigan's Katelynn Flaherty named finalist for nation's top point guard

Michigan senior Katelynn Flaherty continues to garner national recognition.

The all-time leading scorer in Michigan women's basketball history was named one of five finalists for this year's Nancy Lieberman Award, given annually to the nation's top point guard.

Flaherty, who also was named to the John R. Wooden Award midseason top 25 list in January, ranks fifth in country at 23.5 points per game this season, shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 41.5 percent from beyond the arc.

The Point Pleasant, New Jersey native has played nearly 37 minutes per game, helping the Wolverines finish 21-8 during the regular season and 10-6 in the Big Ten.
