Grand Ledge — Michigan is closing in on the start of preseason camp in a little more than two weeks, and sophomore quarterback J.J. McCarthy is feeling confident about his nearly fully recovered right shoulder.
McCarthy was limited during spring practice and did not throw while resting his throwing shoulder. He did not require surgery, but did spend time in southern California working with Tom House, the former pitcher who has helped a number of Major League pitchers and NFL and college quarterbacks by focusing on mechanics and conditioning.
