The Michigan Wolverines lost their second game of the season after losing a disappointing battle against Washington on Saturday night. The Huskies won it, 27-17, and the Wolverines are left searching for answers heading into the bye week.
As expected with the loss, Michigan lost some ground in the latest edition of ESPN and Bill Connelly’s SP+ rankings. According to SP+, the Wolverines are now the No. 27 team in the country, which is quite the fall from where they were last week at No. 15.
For those of you unfamiliar with SP+, Connelly describes it as “a tempo and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency” that takes into account a team’s efficiencies in all three phases of the game.
