EAST LANSING - Michigan football player Grant Perry on Thursday denied through an attorney that he sexually assaulted a woman outside an East Lansing bar Oct. 15.
Perry, a sophomore wide receiver from Royal Oak, was arraigned last week in East Lansing on one felony count of assaulting, battering, resisting or obstructing an officer, two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and an underage drinking charge.
"We adamantly deny any and all allegations of criminal sexual conduct," said Allison Collins, an attorney representing Perry.
Speaking at a hearing Thursday in 54B District Court, Collins also asked for the presumption of innocence to be upheld by media and the public.
