Michigan women's gymnastics wins regional, headed to NCAA tournament semifinals

Another day, another Michigan team advancing in an NCAA tournament.

On Sunday, it was the Wolverines’ women’s gymnastics team, which won its regional in Raleigh, North Carolina, to advance to the semifinals in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 14.

Michigan, which was the national 3-seed, got a perfect 10 from Gabby Wilson on the vault to put up 197.8 points. That edged the No. 2 team, Missouri (which also advances to Fort Worth) with 197.425 points.

Michigan will compete in Semifinal II, along with Mizzou, 2-seed Florida and 7-seed Auburn (featuring Tokyo Olympics star Suni Lee).
