Michigan women's basketball takes another step in establishing itself as a top-shelf program in the Big Ten.
The Wolverines received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament, which will be played exclusively in San Antonio. U-M is the No. 6 seed in the Riverwalk Region and will play No. 11-seed Florida Gulf Coast at 3 p.m. Sunday on ESPN2.
If Michigan wins, it will play either No. 3-seed Tennessee or No. 14-seed Middle Tennessee on Tuesday.
The Wolverines (14-5) are ranked 14th in the latest USA TODAY coaches poll. They are led by junior Naz Hillmon, the Big Ten Player of the Year, who was second in the conference at 25.
