Michigan sophomore running back Zach Charbonnet entered his name in the transfer portal on Monday.
Charbonnet was the No. 101 ranked prospect in the 2019 class and led the Wolverines in rushing yards with 726 yards in his first season. He had 149 attempts in 2019 and 11 touchdowns throughout that freshman season and broke the single-season rushing touchdown record for freshmen at Michigan.
His carries dropped in 2020, however, with only 19 carries in six games. The second-year back from Westlake Village, California, only had 124 rush yards with one touchdown, which was second to Hassan Haskins, who led the team with 380 yards on 61 attempts.
