ANN ARBOR -- When Michigan plays in Little Caesars Arena on Saturday against Detroit Mercy, the Wolverines will square off against a couple of familiar faces -- and also make history.
Detroit Mercy is coached by Bacari Alexander, who spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Michigan under John Beilein. Last season was Alexander's first as a head coach, and the Titans went 8-23.
The Titans are 4-6 this season, though Alexander did not coach the team for a seven-game stretch due to a vague "personnel matter." He returned to the bench for Detroit Mercy's Dec.
