The Outback Bowl is nearing, Michigan's fourth appearance in the post-season bowl game launched in 1986 as the Hall of Fame Bowl.
The Wolverines play South Carolina on Jan. 1 in Tampa, Florida, a rematch from the two schools' 2013 meeting in the same game.
Michigan is 8-4 and finished the Big Ten schedule with a 5-4 record, good enough to qualify for an invite to the Outback Bowl. It will mark the third straight season the program has qualified for a bowl game, all in Florida, under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
South Carolina also enters with an 8-4 record, and makes its fifth Outback Bowl appearance.
