Junior right-hander Blake Beers got the start for Michigan and was terrific, going eight innings with six strikeouts and one run allowed on two hits. Wolverine pitching was able to keep the Mustangs’ damage to a minimum, as they finished 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
Juniors Jordan Nwogu and Jack Blomgren led the offensive output for Michigan, as they combined to go 7-for-9 at the plate with Blomgren knocking in a pair of runs in the game.
