Michigan to Play Minnesota for B1G Championship Tonight

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The No. 7-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team (23-7-5, 12-5-3-2 Big Ten), seeded No. 2 in the Big Ten Tournament, will take on No. 1 seed Minnesota (20-16-0, 14-6-0-0 Big Ten) in the Big Ten championship game tonight (Saturday, March 19) at Xcel Energy Center in a rematch of the 2015 Big Ten title game. The Wolverines earned their spot in the final with a 7-2 win over No. 3 seed Penn State yesterday afternoon, capping off a 5-0-0 season series sweep of the Nittany Lions. Minnesota defeated No. 4 seed Ohio State, 4-2, last night to advance to tonight's contest.
