Michigan to play Florida in the Peach Bowl

A loss to Ohio State meant no Big Ten championship or shot at the College Football Playoff, so Michigan is going to have to settle for a New Year's Six bowl.

The seventh-ranked Wolverines have accepted a bid to the Peach Bowl to play Florida on Dec. 29 in Atlanta (noon, ESPN), it was announced on Sunday.

The game will be played at the 71,000-seat Mercedes-Benz Stadium, opened last fall and home to the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. Tickets are on sale now, but in limited quantity, on the bowl's official website.

Michigan (10-2, 8-1 Big Ten) finished in a tie for first place in the Big Ten's East division after a 62-39 loss to Ohio State on Nov.
