Michigan to face Florida in the Citrus Bowl

Michigan has received an invite and accepted the bid to play in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 at 1 p.m. eastern. The Wolverines will play against the 10-3 Florida Gators.

The Maize and Blue have faced off twice before against Florida, winning each previous meeting.

The first time the Wolverines played the Gators was in the 2003 Outback Bowl, where John Navarre passed for 319 yards and Chris Perry scored four touchdowns on the way to a 38-30 victory.

The last time Michigan played in the Citrus Bowl, which was then known as the Capital One Bowl, was against Florida in 2008.
