Michigan hit the jackpot on Wednesday night. This weekend the Wolverines will try their luck in a four-team, two-day tournament at a Connecticut casino.
Michigan draws George Washington on Saturday in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament at Mohegan Sun Arena. Providence or South Carolina awaits on Sunday.
John Beilein likes to get Michigan to the New York area whenever possible, to take advantage of the large alumni base there. The Wolverines played in Madison Square Garden each of the past two seasons. They should have good fan support at the 9,000-seat arena.
Not that they needed it the last time out.
