Tyrone Wheatley, Jr., has already found a new home.
The Michigan tight end who informed the coaching staff last week he was leaving will transfer to Stony Brook University, a Football Championship Subdivision school on Long Island, New York.
Stony Brook announced Wheatley's arrival on Sunday, noting his two years of eligibility remaining. The Buffalo, N.Y., native will be eligible to play right away.

Wheatley, the son of former Michigan star and NFL running back Tyrone Wheatley, spent three seasons at Michigan, including his redshirt year in 2015.
