Ann Arbor — One might have expected a different persona.
Not necessarily a 22-year-old with fangs or with plasma dripping from his chops, but given his mayhem on the football field, Joe Bolden implies a certain malevolence that simply doesn't square with evidence that he's warmly human.
Watch him grin and nod as he listens to teammate Ryan Glasgow talk about Michigan's award-winning football defense. Listen as he cracks up everyone, and amuses himself, by saying defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin has an "explosability" about him.
Note the lack of sinister features: a tidy, trimmed beard — sort of a George Clooney look, dare the critics suggest.
