ARLINGTON, Texas -- A quarterback competition that we were told was close throughout preseason camp may now linger.
That, or Jim Harbaugh was trying to prove a point to Wilton Speight.
The junior quarterback started Saturday's 33-17 win over the Florida Gators before 75,802 at AT&T Stadium, but found himself on the bench in the second quarter after throwing back-to-back interceptions.
Speight was pulled for fifth-year senior John O'Korn with 10:50 to go in the second quarter after his pass sailed high on receiver Grant Perry and was plucked away by Florida defensive back C.J. Henderson.
