Both of Michigan's Big Ten college basketball teams are inching up the Associated Press poll this week.
Michigan State ranked at No. 5 in the newest poll released on Monday, while Michigan came in at No. 24.
Both of those represents a move up of one spot compared to last week.
Michigan State has recorded three wins since the last poll was published. It beat Illinois on the road, returned home to beat Wisconsin on Friday, then won at Maryland on Sunday. The Spartans moved past Kansas, which lost to Oklahoma on Tuesday.
Michigan, meanwhile played only once in the last week, and lost.
